Look at the numbers, Felix Hernandez deserved it and thankfully the writers got it right.

Now if you want to talk about someone getting cheated it was Alexi Ramirez of the WSox. How Jeter got the gold glove is a mystery. He is one of the WORST fielding SS in baseball right now. Shame on the writers for that one, they must not have been paying attention.

If I had my choice tomorrow between Felix and CC leading my staff I am taking Felix.......dude has better stuff than CC, consistent as hell, younger, stronger.........need I go on? The only thing working against him is he pitches for the freaking Mariners and that's not his fault. Good choice on Felix for Cy Young.

Amazingly, the right guy got the award. Hernandez shouldn't be penalized for his team's offensive ineptitude.

Seven games:
7 IP 1 RA (ND)
8 IP 1 RA (ND)
9 IP 2 RA (ND)
7 IP 2 RA (ND)
8 IP 0 RA (ND)
7 IP 0 RA (ND)
8 IP 1 RA (L)
Record in those seven games 0-1 1.17 ERA. If we had that kind of luck with our wagering, we'd be living in cardboard boxes.

Also, in all but two of the games that he DID win, he pitched at least 8 innings and gave up 0 or 1 run. The other two wins he gave up 2 ER in 7.1 and 6.2 IP, respectively.

Put him on a team with a decent offense and normal luck and he's probably got 20+ wins.

how did sabathia get cheated? because he had more wins? let's see how many wins he would have gotten playing for the mariners...probably less than what hernandez got...hernandez had better numbers all the way around and deserved to get the award

they used some sabremetrics based on both pitching numbers and Hernandez was MUCH better this year...the difference in team offenses was what showed up in the W/L

not to mention Felix averaged .5 unearned runs per game... try wining with that BS going on behind you every game... much less keeping your head in check.

Saying CC got screwed is laughable.

Safeco is a GIANT pitchers park, meanwhile Yankee stadium has the short porch in right, that accounts for some of the numbers and CC got robbed EOS
