Cleveland fires Eric Wedge and entire staff

Don't know why they would not just wait until the season is over to announce it


According to the Associated Press, the Indians have fired manager Eric Wedge and his entire coaching staff.

Hitting coach Derek Shelton, pitching coach Carl Willis, bullpen coach Chuck Hernandez, first-base coach Luis Rivera and third-base coach Joel Skinner will depart Cleveland with him. Wedge was in his seventh year with the club and will be allowed to finish out the season. A press conference will be held at 1:30pm ET to officially announce the firing. Sep. 30 - 11:35 am et
