I dont think he signs with either of these teams, but I'd lean Rangers before Yankees

The Yankees may have alot of money to spend, but its not an endless amount. By the time they resign Jeter, Rivera, Pettitte and maybe Berkman. Plus if they want Carl Crawford, plus the ridiculous amount they're spending on Burnett & Posada - They aren't gonna have the money.

I think he signs with someone else, like the Angels, Tigers or White Sox

Yanks typically freely spend after a disappointing season. The new ballpark gives them even deeper pockets. IMO, the Yanks buy a better pitching staff. They will get Lee or Greinke, possibly both. Resigning Jeter, Rivera, and Pettite won't cost them more next year than this year, so its a moot point. With Granderson coming on strong in the 2nd half of the season, they won't go after Crawford and probably won't resign Berkman.

Lee stays with Rangers, and will take less money than others will offer.

Berkman will not be a Yankee next year, he does not like it up North, and especially the Yanks, they dont wear the same shoes.

Nolan will be ready to pay him. He will get a similar offer but it wont be as much money wise as the Yankees. He will however save in state income taxes and shit. Plus the Rangers are the SHIT and he will have won a ring with them (hopefully).

....

edit add - dont have much ammo for him not signing in Texas other than the fact that they'll offer less money than others. But his family is from arkansas so that has to weigh on his decision some. I personally think the Tigers (who have a ton of money to spend) will offer him a ridiculous amount that will be hard to turn down
