I wanted to know that, too.

I got the Cards, and definitely wanted him to go a while.

Got this from sportsline:

PHOENIX -- St. Louis pitcher Chris Carpenter has been removed with an apparent injury before the fourth inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

With the Cardinals leading 3-0 on Tuesday night, Carpenter was throwing warmup pitches when he called for a trainer. He had ended the previous inning by grounding out to third base.

The 2005 NL Cy Young Award winner, Carpenter allowed four hits in three innings, striking out two. He has not allowed a run in 10 innings this season.

The 33-year-old right-hander made only four appearances last season after reconstructive elbow surgery. He underwent another procedure in November to transpose an elbow nerve that was irritating the muscles in the back of his shoulder and around his neck.

LOL
he gets hurt brushing his teeth.
This is the reason Jays didnt resign him, hes an awesome pitcher but big bucks for an EXTREMELY injury prone player.

Injury is in this guys blood. Too much of a risk all the time, great pitcher though.

Carpenter cost them this game. If he goes 5 or 6 innings, Cardinals win 6-3.
