I have always loved Byrd when he was a ranger. The man came to play everyday, he is a hustler, and he lead our team in doubles last year. And doubles have nothing to do with a small ball park.

I think the cubbies are going to like this guy in their line up. He isn't going to be a clean up hitter but he will be better then Fukudome you have now.

Harry: I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.

Lloyd: I was thinking the same thing. That John Denver's full of shit, man.

I think hes a pretty solid player also. Don't know where the hate for him comes from. Maybe not hate.....more dislike. But I think hes a fine player and in his prime.

Edit the 'prime' thing.....thought he was in his late twenties not early thirties. Still think hes a nice player.

PEACE

I was talking about BEFORE he was signed

Wasn't he in a position to either recommend him or kick him to the curb?

Thought so
