Cubs v. Rockies - betting info

At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: Colorado Rockies (1.79, -127) and Chicago Cubs (2.22, +122)
Rockies are 6-1 as a road favorite
Cubs are 1-4 in Garza's last five starts

Colorado will play a one-game series at Wrigley Field against Chicago Monday in a make-up of a April 27 contest that was postponed due to rain. The Rockies will also be playing their third straight day game today, entering with a 12-4 record under the sun this season. Since the beginning of 2010, the club is 46-35 in day games. Today's game also marks the seventh and final game of an eight-day, seven-game road trip. Colorado is 4-1 versus Chicago this season by taking two of three at Coors Field and sweeping a two-game set at Wrigley Field in April.

Rockies starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin will be making his 16th start of the season today and received his third no-decision of the season in a team win at Cleveland last time out. The right-hander's .190 opponents batting average against is the second-lowest in the National League. Chacin has allowed just three runs on 12 hits over 26 2/3 innings during his four starts this month. In three career appearances (two starts) versus the Cubs, he has tallied an even 1-1 mark and 2.16 ERA, including an 0-1 record and 4.76 ERA in one outings at Wrigley Field.

Chicago is set to play its first game of a three-team, seven-day, eight-game homestand. The Cubs completed a 2-4 road trip Sunday with a 6-3 defeat to the Royals. Despite its losing mark, the club's bullpen was outstanding during the trip, posting a 1.38 ERA and limiting opponents to a .213 batting average. Offensively, first baseman Carlos Pena still looms large in the middle of the lineup, hitting five home runs in the last 10 games. Eight of Pena's last 10 hits since June 13 have gone for extra bases. Chicago is 13-21 in day games this season.
