d1 Saturday

Today ended well, with King Felix pulling through to put me up for the season. Finally a full day of games today, pretty excited about the action. Here's what I'm thinkin:

Pittsburgh Pirates +170 .5 units to win .85
I'll take the value here until the Cubs prove me wrong. Paul Maholm is not bad, clearly the Bucs can hit. Zambrano is not the same guy he's been for the past few years either.

Chicago White Sox / Cleveland Indians Over 8.5 Runs 1.1 units to win 1
After yesterday's mashing, I expect more offense from these two teams today. Worn bullpens and two starters who I do not expect to be dazzling. Edwin Jackson didn't have a particularly good spring, and Carlos Carrasco isn't particularly good. This one's going over.

San Francisco Giants -107 2.14 units to win 2
Biggest play of the year so far, looking for Matt Cain to step up just like he did last season. Definitely give the edge in pitching to the Giants versus Ted Lilly for the Dodgers. This is their first advantageous pitching matchup of the series, so I think the Giants take it down.

Milwaukee Brewers +104 2 units to win 2.08
I'm expecting a very big year from Shawn Marcum, and I think that the Brewers offense will do big things all year. The better team is the underdog here.

Good luck to all today.

Split on the first two games today. Pirates almost had it but managed to blow it, I guess to be expected. The total went way over. So far on the day:

1-1 for +.5 units. Record will be updated later, and may add based on the outcome of the Giants game. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the day.

Finished the day in the positives, 2-2 for +.5 units. I'll take it but longer for some bigger wins tomorrow. Record is updated, hope everyone had a solid day.
