D'Backs finalize $51M deal with Justin Upton

Diamondbacks signed OF Justin Upton to a six-year, $51.5 million contract extension.
The Diamondbacks have safely locked up one of the game's most promising young stars, buying out his first two years of free agency. Upton will receive a $1.25 million signing bonus as well as $500,000 this season, then $4.25 million in 2011, $6.75 million in 2012, $9.75 million in 2013, $14.25 million in 2014 and $14.5 million in 2015. Upton, who doesn't even turn 23 until this August, will be 28 years at the end of the six-year deal.
