Leyland already on record that Verlander won't pitch on 3 days rest. Surprised Yankees favored in game one though.

Yankees defy all MLB betting. Normally pitching matchups play such a role, but with the Yankees you can thrown them out the window. They have one starter, Nova is OK, but a rookie in playoffs for the 1st time.

Tigers very reliant on one starter, but the other three are better than what the Yanks have. The difference will be the Yanks lineup. detroit is hot right now. Yanks in 5.

Neither is Detroits. Detroit up until recently is a 500 club when Verlander doesnt pitch. Detroit has been much more relient on Verlander than the Yanks on CC.
