DH, Going, Going ....

A committee of 14 has been assembled by Selig, to look at possible changes in baseball. One thing on the agenda is the removal of the DH. Too appease the MLBPA, they are also looking at increasing the rosters to 26 or 27

Baseball may return to the way it was meant to be played.

Knock that pitcher on his ass

Yea!!!!! We get to see more pitchers hit!!!

Guaranteed if the polled MLB fans, keeping DH would EASILY win.

Watching pitchers hit is unbearable.

i think they should shorten the season to 144 games, so they can start the season in mid-late april, avoiding snowouts in some places lol

and maybe schedule double headers

i could go on, i've actually drafted a whole new baseball season format that i think would be awesome, just have to find a place to present it

It will never pass. Players association won't let all them jobs be lost & agree with JB, who wants to see pitchers hit

UVA - present it here

couldn't agree more. when looking @ hof voting, leagues and their discrepencies are factored in. also agree season should be shortened, but not to start later(to finish earlier). scheduling adjustments could avoid snow-outs.

essentially jack, its a 144 game schedule comprised of 48 3-game series, with a league wide double header schedule on saturday

games schedule tuesday through sunday

monday would be an off day for all teams except for 2, and that would be MNB game of the week on ABC (those 2 would have off days on sunday)

so the schedule shortens, but each team basically plays 7 games a week

in doing that, the season would run from around mid/late april to mid/late september, and the playoffs would be the same, but much more restricted, so the season is over by mid october hopefully

instead of just wins/losses, there would be a point system, 1pt for a win, -1 for a loss, and progressive points for winning a series 2-1, or 3-0, however many points would be necessarily appropriated

this way the foundation of the playoffs, a series format, would be consistent with the season

i have a much more comprehensive presentation with charts, pics, how to maximize attendance figures and ratings, and even a SWOT analysis, that I did in college in anticipation of having to do a senior thesis during grad school, but its for mine eyes only

A commitee should be assembled to kick Selig's ass out.

DH needs to go.

Managers actually have to be awake in the NL. Look at Torre, he slept through all those years managing the Yanks, he actually has to manage in the NL.

He is gone, after 2010 season, I think..retiring

And for those who think the MLBPA won't approve the knock out of the DH, keep in mind the DH will go, but the rosters will increase

If I want to watch a baseballl game with a DH, I can always tune in on a fantasy baseball game.

If it was to happen and that's a long shot it would take 3-5 yrs to go in effect and the A.L would still kick ass.
