Question Dodgers/Cardinals

Can someone please enlighten me as to what Torre was thinking..

You go up by one in the top of the 11th. You have a guy in scoring position with your pitcher due up, with 2 outs. Why does he let his pitcher hit there? I mean, due up for the Cardinals are DeRosa, Pujols, Holliday and Ludwick. Definately a place where you'd want to try to tack on another run if you can.

Does he have no more pitchers, or pinch hitters available?

I think Torre is a average to below average manager.. A lot of people who watch a lot of Dodgers game like me think so as well..
