Dodgers deal for Royals OF Podsednik
Jayson Stark of ESPN.com reports that Dodgers have acquired outfielder Scott Podsednik from the Royals for two minor leaguers.

I think its a good trade for your Dodgers.Pods is an upgrade over Jamey Carroll.

Carrol actually hasn't been that bad. Hopefully he'll be replacing POS Anderson!

Caroll has been a decent player I agree. Podsednik is there to play defense in the late innings when Manny actually does play and to man LF and occasionaly CF when Kemp needs a day off.

Lots of teams wanted Podsednik so I assume the Royals were able to get something decent....if they didnt well thats just Dayton Moore being himself.

Remember a few years back when the Dodgers got Casey Blake in a deadline deal with Cleveland they gave up little known minor leaguer Carlos Santana to the Indians.

I think Podsednik cant hurt and hopefully for the Royals sake they can get rid of Guillen next and find every day at bats for Gordon and finally call up Kila Ka'aihue.
