For years he has been declining, and batting for him has always been streaky. But last year he was awful, and said his issue was the injuries.

Well again this year he is supposedly healthy yet he cannot hit (.214) and has already made 2 game killing errors in addition to others. I have never seen a star player making $20 million actually get benched in game for being such a bad fielder but that has been happening for several games now, he gets double-switched out in the 6th.

From a charitable perspective it really does seem like such a basic thing that the guy cannot see the ball...I mean has a player ever regressed so badly in the field? he was never great in the outfield but he at least caught 98% of the balls before, now he plays like a kindergartener!

His contract is the worst one EVER offered and accepted. Cubs got two decent years from him, then splatttttttt
