what a disgrace the mets played yesterday costing us an exclusive play .... for those that are chasing the mets again tonight, be a little careful .... knuckleball pitcher dickey and his team have lost 4 straight starts.... knucklers dont do too well in arizona and the mets offense hasnt comed together yet.... still think arizona is a bad team but the mets may just be as bad at this price....
anyways for tonights EXCLUSIVE PLAY im going to run with the Under with the redsox tonight in another low scoring game as i believe that tonights pitchers ,dallas braden and tim wakefield will both benifit from umpire bob davidson .... i am siding with the red sox in part to wakefields 3-0 1.91 lifetime era when davidson is behind the plate for him... not to mention that opponents batted only .216 against him in those games.... wakefield was hammered by these A's earlier in the season at home , but the key hitter in that game kurt suzuki has only 5 xb's hits in 33 games since that day ... oakland stadium is a big park and if you throw out the 2008 start against the a's this old timer has given up less than 3 runs per a game in the 5 games prior..... ive seen many games at the park with wakefield on the mound only to be frustrated why they couldnt hit him... now many will look at this wakefields past 2 starts but tim has struggled at tb the last few seasons and the rangers have just hammered wakefield over his past 3 starts... prior to those 2 games tim wakefield had given up just 13 runs in 36 innings... you do the math .... the A's have not won a single game in dallas braden starts (0-8) since the no-no back on may 14th and have only scored 13 runs in run support.... i thought cole hamels was a tough luck pitcher, but dallas will get my vote as the A's just cant give him no love when he pitches, supporting him with just 2.74 in his starts... he gets a break with davidson behind the dish as he called 10 strikeouts in 7 inings in his first start this season.... final thought : this game will be a low scoring one with the A's and the redsox combining for only 132 runs in 28 games for july ( 4.7 average ) ... both teams are struggling at the plate over the last 7 days ~ oak (.254) / bos (.200) .... the red sox are one of the better teams in game 2 of series when they are on the road ( 14-4 ) while the A's are 6-11 in game 2's at home and 11-18 overall in the first 2 games of the series... when the total is set at 7-8.5 the redsox are 15-7 last 22 .... the red sox are 10-5 this season against the west division its make up time for yesterdays blunder .... best of luck to all that follow !!!
