9 years, $214 million reports out of Detroit are saying.

Illitch has said he wants a World Series ring before he dies, looks like he is really opening the wallet now!!

You would think the market would have dried up at this point, but the Tigers seemed desperate after V-Mart went down.

Pujols and Fielder now in the AL. Wow. Who is the starting 1B at the All-Stars lol?

Pujols
Fielder
Gonzalez
Cabrera (guess he won't be on ballot as 1B)
Tex
Morneau (he probably should rest another year)

Seriously though 1b is loaded

Every contract he gets seems crazier than the next and his always are surprise teams too

Hitting bombs in that stadium will not be easy. Paid way too much for him. Not sold on him at all for $25M a year for 9 years.

They could move the fences in again, plus it's under $24M per, but over paid on the back end is almost a sure thing

Comerica is nothing like it used to be. Here is an article detailing the differences and what he would hit in both places. Comerica ranked right behind Miller Park.

Prince Fielder's power numbers translate just fine to Comerica Park | MLive.com

If they put Cabrera at 3B that infield D is gonna be bad. I see alot of 10-7 games in the Tigers future (except when Verlander goes)
