Blue Jays GM said they dont have the authority to offer anything more than a 5 year contract.

Fielder represented by Boras.

At this point, I'm just tired of hearing how we're "in the running" for someone. Either sign someone significant or shut the **** up.

the longer and longer he goes unsigned the better I feel about the Rangers getting him........after Darvish is signed next week biz could be picking up on Prince...fingers crossed

No way you can get both IMO. I can see Texas stiffening up on Darvish and if Darvish refuses then Texas signing Prince.

The market for Prince is starting to thin out though with potential landing getting less and less by the day.

In the end I think Darvish would be stupid to go back to Japan so I see him eventually signing with Texas and thats when probably Prince will end up getting "stuck" with the 5 year deal he originally didnt want with either Washington, Toronto, Seattle or Miami. This is all just speculation on my part though.

PEACE

eh maybe.

If Fielder wants an 'out clause' after say 4 years it doesn't make sense for Washington as that's about when they would be fully competitive. They just poured a lot of money into last years draft. If no out clause, he blocks either Zimmerman moving to 1st for Anthony Rendon and vice versa.

It's going to be a team who gets desperate, I think the Marlins are more involved than they want to believe. And Boras is buying time to see if the Dodgers can pull off a miracle. Texas is getting strapped after they sign Darvish

If the Brewers hop in right now with something like 7/150, he's there tomorrow

I guess you could move Rendon to like LF, but I'm pretty sure he's ok with the glove. Old saying is if you can hit they'll find a spot for you
