Foreign Players

So is it safe to assume that when Red Soxs and Yankees don't get involved in the Japanese or Cuban players they aren't that great of prospects. An example is this Chapman pitcher who signed with the Reds.

How big of a signing is this for the Reds?

Red Sox and Yankees were very much into this guy. Maybe they saw something in his workouts that they didn't like.

yeah, this guy is supposed to be very good.

Wonder if it had anything to do with how he got into the states, and escaped in Holland. Ir if they just didnt think he was worth the kind of money they were asking?

i had heard the sox were interested, but did not hear anything about them bidding.

he is very good, no doubt about it. I was a little surprised Cincy got him. I like Cincy in '10 .... if Volquez can bounce back I like them.

Red Sox didn't like him because he was better than every pitcher on their team now.
