Friday Plays (6/3)
Okay, so I didn't end up making anymore plays on 6/1 like I had hoped but it was a winning day (2-1); winning White Sox and Texas, and losing Philly. I have three plays for today:
1. Pirates +142: I think they have a chance because Philly just isn't there yet. I think Philly is capable of being THAT TEAM, however I don't think now is that time. Karstens has a home ERA of 2.43, which closes the gap in the pitching difference, and to lay the extra on a ROAD team that is in an offensive slump seems too risky. 2. Dodgers +118: Despite laying an egg against Colorado the other night, the Dodgers have scored 26 runs in their last 4 outings and are facing a struggling Arroyo. Though Arroyo had success against the Dodgers last season, Hiroki Kuroda also performed well against Cincy last season. Again, no discernible difference in the pitching matchup so I will again go with the dog in this spot. 3. Rockies +113: I am sticking with the theme of taking the dogs. No particular reasoning behind this pick other that I think Nicasio has the ability to produce a quality outing tonight agains SF, so again I will take a chance on the dog in this matchup. BOL to the board tonight... MLB record (5-4), overall post record (6-4) |

Thanks...not in bad position right now, but hopefully the dodgers can tie this thing shortly to make me a little more comfortable.
