Friday's Play--Another "I Like It ALOT" Play !!

lost yesterday with the over in the Twins/Indians. Still 9-5 for my last 14. On the year I am 8-4 for the "I Like It ALOT" plays. Tonight's play I absolutely love. Friday's play is the KC Royals -135 to the A's. Here's why:

The A's start Vin Mazzaro. As I said last time out, they'd be better off with Vinnie Barbarino. Or Vincent Chase. Or Vincent Vega. Or for that matter anyone besides this clown. For the year he is 2-8 with a 5.73 ERA, a 1.68 WHIP and a .316 batting average against. On the road this year he is 1-4 with a 5.45 ERA and a .306 batting average against. But those numbers don't tell you just how bad he has been. Since the All-Star break he has made 4 starts. I hope you guys are sitting for this, because this guy has been getting slammed harder than a $10 Tijuana whore. In those 4 starts he lasted only 18.1 innings. In those 18.1 innings, he has allowed 37 hits, 11 walks and 23 earned runs. His ERA over those 4 starts is 11.29, his batting average against is a "holy shit" .420 and his WHIP is an off-the-charts 2.651. The Royals haven'e been hitting all that well lately, but tonight it will seem like the pitcher is lobbing in beach balls to them. They will crush our cousin Vinnie like a grape.

Meanwhile, the Royals start Brian Bannister. He is 7-7 on the year with a 3.59 ERA, a 1.28 WHIP and a .252 batting average against. At home this year he is 4-3 with a 3.34 ERA and a .248 batting average against. Since the All-Star break his ERA is 3.28. In fact, over his last 7 starts, his ERA is an awesome 2.58. Against the A's this year he is 0-1 but with a 3.18 ERA and a .238 batting average against. For his career against them he is 1-2 but with a very respectable 3.35 ERA. Fellas--if this wasn't the KC Royals here, this would be my biggest play of the year. As it is, it is still monster huge for me.

Friday's "I Like It ALOT" play is the Royals at -135.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special.” ---Jim Valvano

BOL on the Royals!

Note: There will be a vote of all members of the Moehler Hater Club as whether to continue to recognize you as chairman of this prestigous organization or to replace you with a worthy candidate. Reason for such drastic measure would be not posting the 8/5 drubbing of the Astros or the over which was surpassed by the victorious Giants! 10-6 Final
