Friday's Play--It's Time To Turn Things Around

lost again yesterday (this is sounding like a broken record) with the Tigers. Seems like I haven't won a play since Dubya was the Prez. For the entire year I now stand at 47-48. And I am REALLY pissed off about it.

I capped the shit out of this one fellas, so hopefully the ship gets righted tonight. For Friday, I like the under 9 runs in the Cards/Phillies. Here's why:

The Phils start lefty J.A. Happ. As you know, the Cards suck dick against lefties, batting an NL-worst .223 against them. And Happ is a good 'un. He is 7-0 on the year with a 2.68 ERA (6th in the NL) a 1.15 WHIP (8th in the NL) and a .222 batting average against. His ERA in his last 3 starts is 1.71. For the month of July (last 4 starts), he is 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA and a .214 batting average against. For his career against the Cards his ERA is 2.84 and his batting average against is .217. Oh yeah, and the Cards are batting a weak-ass .245 over the past 7 days.

Meanwhile, the Cards start Joel Pineiro. His record is only 8-9, but he has an ERA of 3.09 and a 1.09 WHIP (5th in the NL). As good as Happ has been in July, Pineiro has been better. In July he is 2-0 with a 1.57 ERA and a .195 batting average against. In 23 innings this month, he has allowed only 16 hits and NO WALKS !! Over the past 3 years he is 1-0 against the Phils with a 0.00 ERA and a .227 batting average against. For his entire career against the Phils, his ERA is 2.33 and his WHIP is 1.242.

But wait--you want trends ?? The Cards are 12-29 to the under this year when the total is between 9 and 9.5. They are 5-13 to the under in July. Meanwhile the Phils are 7-11 to the under in July, and they are 3-11 to the under as a home favorite of between -125 and -150 (they are -140 tonight).

Under. Like in Thunder.

Friday's play is under 9 runs in the Cardinals/Phillies.

Last but not least, I brought Stevie Ray back. If that doesn't turn things around for me, I don't know what will

Man I was glad to see SRV avatar back on !!!! I love the play for tonight but hell I loved the Boston play on Wed. This under has got to be the start kicker you need bud Lets cash this sweet total and get you back on your winning ways, good luck with it Keith !!!
