Today there is one play I like very much.

TORONTO BLUE JAYS 5*****

Tonight the struggling Angels battle it out on the road against the hot Blue Jays (7-3). As we see it, both teams are heading in the opposite directions. We all know how good the Angels are, and we all know that they will be in the playoff mix come September, but right now the Angels are in a slump. The Angels are averaging 3.6 Runs a game. In order for the Angels to win this game tonight, their bats need to come alive, and they need to come quick. But I don't see it starting tonight. Shaun Marcum is on the tit and posts a 0-0 record with a 3.46 ERA. Marcum will be Marcum on friday night at the Rogers Center. The Angels will be in a world of trouble against an effective pitcher, who gets the job done on a consistent basis.

For the Angels Weaver gets the call who is 1-0 with a 3.0 ERA. Don't get me wrong, Weaver is an amazing pitcher, but I don't see him carrying his team to a victory all by himself tonight. The only true upside I see that Angels have on the Jays is their batting lineup, but that wont play a huge role in tonight's game.

If the Jays figure out a way to work counts and make Weaver throw a lot of pitches, then this game will be taken by the Jays with ease. Angels do not want to pull Weaver early due to a struggling bullpen that simply can't get it done right now. The bullpen as a staff has an ERA over 5, and has yet to show its presence as of late.

The Jays win this one by a score of 5-2. GL TO AL MALLERS!
