Lincecum said. "My arm feels ready. It would be nice to get to some games that actually matter." Lincecum, who will start on opening day, posted a 4.37 ERA in six outings this spring

Lincecum (10-2) w 2.01 career ERA in April over 15 starts~103 IP
(5-1) in 9 starts vs Dodgers in 60 IP w 3.43 ERA but (2-1) w 4.40 ERA in Dodger Stadium

Here's something I wrote up:

Just a few points on the later game, SF @ LAD. This not a play, just want to mention a few things. But I do like the Giants to prevail.

Here we go:

The line, practically a Pick, is based on a few negative Giants factors:

1) The loss of Wilson – in my opinion, the Giants have enough relief to compensate, if necessary.
2) The loss of Ross – plenty of talent around to compensate.
3) Most important, Timmy’s perceived lousy spring – boy did he look sharp early, maybe he coasted in???
4) The perception that Kershaw is the “next Koufax” – yup, he had a very good spring but he is simply the Dodger’s best pitcher.

Why I like the Giants, other than the fact that I always do:

1) Expect Timmy to make a “statement” and treat this as a “big game” as he is a big game pitcher.
2) Compare the Dodgers lineup to the Dodgers. Player for player the Giants have the edge in most positions.
3) Oh, Timmy is 5-1 against the Dodgers and the Giants are 8-1 when Tim starts against the Dodgers.
