A pair of LHP take the mound in Sanchez and Andrew Miller both bright stars in the league. As a young pitcher you normally struggle on the road for many reasons mostly lack of preparation. This is especially true for Sanchez who has a 6.97 ERA away from home vs. 3.04 ERA at home. Today he has across the country 3 hours ahead of his normal pitching routine which for him you can consider a day start as this game starts at 6:10 local time, but SF time it would be 3:10. Sanchez has not proven that he can make quality day starts as he posts a 6.28 ERA during the day. Another trend that will continue today due to lack of preparation and the Marlins bats who are scoring 8.24 runs/9inn last 10 games vs. LHP and 9 runs/9inn last 5 with .322 avg and a .312 avg in their last 5.

Andrew Miller will go for the Marlins he has a 3.63 ERA in his last three starts he has pitched well at home with a 3.86 ERA vs. 5.87 away. I expect him to keep the Giants in check here as they have scored just 2.92 runs per 9 with a .244 avg over their last 10 games vs. LHP.
