Good April Pitchers

Let me say that below I've listed pitchers that have a good April record with a minimum of 7 wins. When looking at a pitchers record I always use the teams record when that pitcher starts the game. if a pitcher gets a no decision but the team lost I lose my bet and as far as I'm concerned that pitcher is 0-1.

But below is the pitchers actual Won/Loss record for the Month of April over the last 3 years 2008,2009 and 2010

A.J. Burnett (Yankees) 7-2 4.56 ERA
John Danks (Chic W/S) 7-3 2.41 ERA
Ryan Dempster (Cubs) 7-2 3.68 ERA
Don Greinke (Milw) 8-2 1.39ERA
Dan Haren (LAA) 9-5 3.05 ERA

Tim Lincecum (S.Fran) 10-2 2.01 ERA
Mike Pelfrey (Mets) 8-1 3.38 ERA

Brad Penny (Det) 8-3 3.80 ERA
James Shields (T.Bay) 7-3 3.23 ERA
Jered Weaver (LAA) 7-3 3.08 ERA

Carlos Zambrano (Cubs) 7-4 4.38 ERA

Mike Pelfrey should start well again against the Marlins

Both AJ & Zambrano with good records but high ERA - not surprising.

Lincecum is solid in all months

oh and welcome to the forum

Greinke will out be for most of April, recovering from cracked rib.

Tim L should get some decent value since he struggled in spring training, but from the couple starts I've seen Weaver and Dempster should be ready to go.

I was wondering how long that would take, but Don was sure dominate back in the day so I'm sure he can be again this Apr even so he's in his 60s.

Now that's funny, Actually being that he's going to be out for a while you did draft the wrong Grienke. I was copying from one of my baseball books and I copied Don instead of Zach. Man lol I'll never make that mistake again..
