Halladay...

Bout time this guy gets a team behind him. Gonna win 22 games minimum. So how has that trade worked out moving Lee to Seattle and getting Halladay? I would say this was nothing short of an absolute steal. Though it would turn up this way, much like everyone else Ive always thought very highly of this guy. Very happy for him.

2 very solid teams, Braves arent going anywhere, McLouth is starting to hit a little and Escobar has yet to get started...I love the Braves aslong as they stay healthy...gonna be a fun year for sure in the East

there is an unreal buzz in philly ... this is amazing watching this guy work day in and day out. i was happy when we made the trade, and i tried convincing a lot of others the same thing, with no one believing me ... but now everyone just cant get enough of him. its pretty awesome

the only reason braves even have a chance is cause halladay cant pitch all 162 games this year lol. but lets be honest, phillies run away with this division yet again

if you really want my honest opinion I wasnt all that impressed with Halliday tonight, defense from Flyin Hawaiian, Castro, Utley and Howard saved you tonight....Holliday definately wasnt that sharp....mark my words Braves are gonna get nothing but better

I am so confused because first off I thought this was a thread I started about Halladay. I never mentioned the Braves or Mclouth, Escobar or Heyward. This is about Roy Halladay and how he was stuck on Toronto as the only player along with Wells who was worth a damn for wayyyy too long. Now he is on a contender and hes pitching just as he was in Toronto only now he has help and its showing that he is, and has been the best pitcher in baseball for some time. And secondly, not impressed? He pitched ANOTHER complete game and got a shutout. How can you not be impressed? Yeah there were some great plays behind him, but he only gave up 5 hits, kd 7 and walked only 1. Nothing to do with the Braves man I dont care if they are going to get better, guy just is a flat out stud who is finally getting his due. Dont hijack this thread and make it another ****ing Braves thread, noone gives a shit. And not impressed, wake the **** up, thats a joke.

you dont understand how happy i am for roy halladay to shine with a big time team. this guy is an animal. and i am happy all the baseball world will get to see him for who he is. you just can comprehend playing on the 2nd worst team in the AL East and This is a pitcher who made 14 of his final 18 starts last year against the Red Sox, Yankees and Rays. you put anyone, i dont care, lincecum, greinke, sabathia, santana, they will get shelled a couple times.

he is gonna do something crazy there, i am telling you. i cant wait till the phillies come to toronto this year. i guarantee you more people will be cheering for the phillies when doc pitches than the jays.

we never wanted to let him go. but we knew we had to because this shit organization called the jays were never going to get him in the playoffs and we wanted to see roy halladay shine. i am a phillies fan now because of roy halladay. still a jays fan, but i didnt realize till he left that i am more a roy halladay fan than a jays fan.

"Here's how good he is," says Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Palmer, who's now an Orioles broadcaster. "Last year, Mike Maddux, the Rangers pitching coach, ran up to me and said, 'I just saw Halladay for the first time! He's unbelievable!' " Mike Maddux, remember, is the older brother of Greg Maddux, who won four straight Cy Youngs in the mid-'90s. Halladay has become Greg Maddux, with a 92-94 mph fastball that always looks the same coming out of his hand but sometimes darts right, sometimes left

isnt it ridiculous, if it wasnt for the rain delay in florida, roy halladay would have thrown 3 straight complete games.
