Hamilton drinking again?

According to Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News, Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton was spotted drinking alcohol on Monday night at a bar in the Dallas area.

What kind of alcohol he drank (and how much) is currently unclear. Hamilton, a recovering drug and alcohol addict, is supposed to remain completely sober as part of a pledge he's made to his family and the Rangers organization. A team spokesman said in a statement to the Dallas Morning News that the Rangers are "aware of a situation" but not ready to comment.

It was a club soda, I was there and ordered it for him. Get off the guys back. He's a grown ass man, and it takes a special kind of person to give a dam cuz he has a drink.-----dam I can't wait till April!

It really is amazing that he's been able to avoid everything in the environment he's in. Minor slip up, he'll be fine

for all the $$$ the Rangers have invested in the guy, they can't pay someone $50K to simply watch the guy and keep him out of trouble ?

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

so let me get this straight. They had someone doing this already (because they knew how tempted he would be); that person leaves for another team (who is he babysitting on the Brewers--must be to keep Braun off the PEDs--LOL); they ask Hamilton's father-in-law to do it and he can't for family reasons, so they just let it go at that and have NO ONE watching him ???

The Rangers are idiots.

In his statement today, he said he invited kinsler out to join him for dinner but Kinsler was supposedly unaware he had been drinking and once kinsler took him home he went back to the same place and drank some more......sucks, but this is why he doesn't deserve a long term deal, too big a risk......addiction is obviously a bitch....

His chronic injuries are a way bigger deal than this. It's a miracle if he plays 120 games. 2 years 36.5 mil is just fine. getting older, bat speed way down.
