i'd say he's a no-brainer for not only his offense but his defense. he's also arguably the most successful player from Japan, though I guess some could make a case for Matsui.

Yeah there's no doubt he's a HOF'er, even so I don't like him since he doesn't hit for power I can't overlook his consistency in 200+ season base hits year after year after year.

Ichiro is definitely a first ballot HOF player. Guy is a great all around player. I wish he would have been in the majors 5-8 years earlier. He would've been the only guy with a serious chance at catching Rose's all-time hit total.
