Interleague Play

Thoughts on it, Does it serve a purpose?

I can do without some of the matchups with no regional rivalry, but I still enjoy interleague play alot

Milwaukee/Minny is still a big deal around here anyways

I think AL pitchers outhit NL pitchers last year in head to head matchups, as well. Think it's interesting watching AL managers trying to manage in an NL park without the DH.

Do you like or dislike the interleague set up and what can be done to improve it?

I have never really been a fan of it. I think some teams get an unfair advantage by playing certain teams that someone in your division doesn't play.

The only time a AL team should play a NL team is in the World Series.

But that is just my opinion I could be wrong.

didn't like it at first, but now I love it (hate it as a bettor though).

I know there are some horrible matchups but the regional matchups are always great and spark added interest during the regular season in a dying sport.

Also I love the fact that baseball purist/traditionalist get a heart attack from this

hate it only because there's no way to balance things out in strength of schedule overall. I'd have one home-home regional matchup (Yanks-Mets, Reds-Indians, Angels-Dodgers etc etc) and that's it. Loved the old days of 18 matchups inside the division.

I enjoy watching some of the games and thinks it's an interesting (lucrative for MLB I'm sure) idea.

However, some of the matchups do give teams an unfair advantage. For example, Cardinals getting to play the Royals 6 times a year (not this year though) or the Orioles getting to play the Nats 6 times while the Yankees have to play the Mets. Just a way to put more money in the pockets of the MLB.

But from a gambling standpoint, no way the games can be anything more than a coinflip. Definitely not worth putting any money on..
