He is so over rated, I was happy he opted out of the Jays contract. He is on the top 5 of most over rated pictures, and I love it when he gets lit up!

This guy has a great arm......I begged the same question before and still have no idea how the Yankees let Jose Molina go especially after all the problems Burnett had with Posada last year. Morrow a very similar pitcher and he has flourished with Molina as his personal catcher. It doesnt make sense to me that a catcher can make that big of a difference with certain pitchers but obviously it does and the Yankees shouldve never let this guy go IMO.

With that said I still think Burnett will be a difference maker for the better come postseason....too much talent.

Burnett may do well in a place with no pressure against NL lineups

I like the move for Pitt - Burnett has tons of talent and its a low risk play with big upside. Plus I think he will dominate the central considering how much weaker those rosters were compared to a) last year - losing Pujols and Fielder, and b) compared to the AL east.

I don't think he'll dominate, but I think he will be a useful piece for the Pirates. He'll be somewhere around league average and throw somewhere near 200 innings. Pitchers like that are always needed. And since the Yankees are picking up a portion of the tab, so much the better for Pittsburgh.
