I would never give a huge chunk of money to a 31-32 yr old outfielder with a .270ish career BA... and he's guy who averaged 29hrs in a bandbox field the last 3 years... won't come close to 25 next year

also helps out his #'s being in the phillies lineup.

no way he produces like that anywhere else

if u wouldve just said it like that in the beginning I wouldnt have argued much with u. He will get 16 mil a year and yes he is a product of his lineup and CBP which makes it all the more reason the Phillies should be the team to sign him. Plus they have no big RH Bat

fair to say he peaked in HR's in 09 with 36?
fair to say he peaked in 07 with a .400+ OBP?

his OPS was a career high in 2010 so he's got that going for him....

everything else about him smells league average or below.

what exactly would you be buying into for him to improve on?

maybe his lifetime 2:1 K/BB ratio?
that's he got "upside"?

league average talent anywhere outside of NYY/Philly... deserves a league average contract.

def should stay in philly, they get more out of him than most other teams will..

the fact he's right handed should be all the reason philly goes after him...

plus: I don't know how patient the phils faithful are going to be with domonic brown striking out 200 times next year as their everyday RF

If the guy was 26-27.... I'd maybe take a chance at over 10million+

remember the last time a Phillies OF about 30 years old left them and got PAID big bucks elsewhere?

Aaron Rowand.

How did that work out for SF? lol well they won a WS but certainly no thanks to him.

One of the worst deals in history. Werth could be the same type of mistake for a lot of teams.

not to mention that he is one of the worst base runners in the history of the game
