the side of his head was already the size of a baseball within 15 secs, it was worse the the one that Chris Young took for the Padres, that was just brutal, Cameron was all screwed up, I wont be surprised to see him struggle the next week or so, I just hope he is alright

I am just amazed this doesn't happen more often. More amazed it doesn't happen in college ball more with aluminum bats.

It is a horrible thing when it happens. The reason it doesn't happen more often is pretty crazy... but I was a pitcher through college and i've had many come back at me. It may seem like its not true but when a ball gets hit back at you for whatever reason, time has the apparent feel of "slowing down". Everytime i've had one shot at me i've been lucky but still have gotten a piece of the ball, but the whole time i knew where it was going. I'm not sure how it works like this but it is pretty crazy and unbelievable when it does happen. Unfortunately in this case it must have happend incredibly fast and this is a shame, and a scare. It can be a deadly thing. Hope he is alright.
