Good for him, too bad he couldn't win in Chi in 03' with Mark Prior back when they were really good.

I wonder what might have been if he & Prior stayed healthy in Chicago. Would they have been that first Chicago team in decades to win the World Series?

wow really? even with all the time missed? that's pretty crazy.

not to mention him not even being a starter the last half of his career.

Prior was the first of what will happen to all of these young stud pitchers. These days they pitch them way too much growing up before they ever get in the Majors. I miss Prior, he was sweet

Kerry Wood recorded the 1500th strikeout of his major-league career on Wednesday night, reaching that milestone after pitching only 1,303 innings in the majors, the fastest in major-league history.

He broke the record held by Pedro Martinez, who had thrown 1337 innings at the time of his 1500th K.
