5-7 years of pressure for the Dodgers? Half these guys were 14 and 15 years old 5 to 7 years ago give me a break.

Magic Johnson? Geez

Are you still sure about the pressure thing? Your almost entire team hasn't been there before.
Pressure is built on media and fan bases and I promise you both of those are still here and have not changed.

If you want to talk pressure we can talk 2004 when all they hear about was "86 years ago". That was pressure on that team and every team before them. This team felt the media and fan base pressure big time when the season started and they never blinked, not once.

We will see I guess!

Did they play like they were feeling the pressure when they beat the NYY 3-1 or Houston 4-1?

I guarantee the Dodgers were feeling it vs Milwaukee and I am willing to bet they know losing again after last year would be a major disappointment.

I see both angles but you are out there and I am here so we see it 2 different ways I guess.

To be fair, I didn't expect it from you either out in your area. That works both ways.

My thoughts are based on value in winning money not based on cheerleading

And like I said, I was pretty clear in saying the NYY series scared the hell out of me and I was clear when I said I thought Houston was the best team in baseball and would beat Boston. If I was not objective in any way I would not have said either.

I also have not said anything about who I like in this series. The Dodgers scare the hell out of me. If I was not at all objective I would sound like savage and talk like the Dodgers have no chance and say Mookie Betts is better than Mike Trout.

I am a lot more objective when it comes to my teams and wins/losses than I will ever get credit for but most only remember the times when I am a fan of my teams, and that's okay!

Boston played in 9 postseason games so far and I posted and bet against them 3 or 4 times. I think I have always shown I can keep my heart and my wallet away from each other.

Again your opinion and it is expected. No surprise. Yes, that long time rival that had the 3rd best record in baseball? Damn right there was pressure. That is the last team this fan base wants to lose to and the team knew it.

And they were small dogs vs Houston. Yes, a team that won 108 and had Home field was a dog. Why? Because most saw Houston as the dominating team that they have been and Boston didn't blink vs that #1 ranked pitching staff.

Right, not sure what that has to do with anything. They were not dogs against the Yankees and that worked out okay. You wouldn't understand because you are 3,000 miles away but I know for a fact that series scared everyone more than any other will. Fans have played 2nd fiddle to the Yankees for 100 years here and losing to them is the most miserable thing that could have happened. Luckily it didn't

That is why having a conversation with someone like pimp or others is so refreshing. You don't get the dumb replies when you or they disagree. He is a Detroit fan and he loves Verlander. In no conversation have I ever called him a fan boy or any other 12 year old stuff because I disagreed and he has never done it to me. You can like your teams and still have opposing sides in a conversation without any disrespect on either side. I even said we will see here in this one but as with many, I am a fan of Boston so blah, blah, blah. So stupid and childish that it has to go there every time with some people and you cannot simply agree to disagree.

This will be Sale’s first opportunity to pitch in the World Series. He’ll have a little bit to prove here, as in Game 1 of the ALCS he had a fairly shaky outing. On the postseason so far, Sale is sporting a 1-0 mark with a 3.48 ERA, but he hasn’t seen the Dodgers since way back in 2012.

I expect this to be a pretty darn good series, but I don’t think it will get past five or six games. Boston has reverted back to regular-season form as of late and is imposing their will on their opponents. I’m going with the Sox to take Game 1 at Fenway

Pick: Los Angeles in 6

The Dodgers should be able to take home field advantage away in Game 1 as far as Iím concerned. That will dramatically alter the course of this series. Itís hard to find too many faults or flaws with either one of these teams. I do think the difference is ultimately that Boston bullpen and the control problems that it has shown so far.

If the Red Sox keep getting hits in big spots like they have since the end of March, they will be tough to beat, so this isnít the strongest of plays. I just think that the Dodgers can take HFA away with a Game 1 win against a team that had a lot of time to sit around and try to stay sharp. That will shift the dynamics in this series and give the Dodgers the upper hand.
