Texas at Oakland

On the mound for the Rangers is Vicente Padilla, he is 8-5 with a 4.66 ERA. He is also 4-1 with a 3.18 ERA on the road this season which is much better then his numbers at home. Look for him to have a very solid game tonight and for Texas to put the hurt on Oakland.

Chad Reinke takes the mound tonight which will be his first start of the season. In 2008 he went 2-1 in three starts with a 5.00 ERA. I fully expect this kid to get rocked tonight as he is not a hard thrower, more a control pitcher.
Texas has also succeeded in a big way with veteran flame-thrower Vicente Padilla on the mound, going a spotless 11-0 in Padilla’s last 11 starts with the total set at 7.0-8.5 and 6-0 in Padilla’s last six starts as an underdog of +110 to +150.

The Rangers have also gone 4-1 in Padilla’s last five starts against American League West opponents and an impressive 21-6 in Padilla’s last 27 road starts overall.

The Texas Rangers are 6-4 in their last 10 games overall. The Oakland Athletics are 2-7 in their last nine games following a win. The Rangers are 7-3 in their last 10 games against Oakland when Padilla pitches.
