Leyland WTF are you doing?

Usually I dont jump all over a manager after a game, but wtf. Bottom 8th cabrera on 3rd with 1 out why isnt worth pinch running no way he gets thrown out on the tag. I couldnt believe my eyes when young came up and cabrera still standing on 3rd.
In the 6th 2 out porcello in trouble, coke is already warming up in the bull pen a lefty coming to the plate. I thought that would be the usual automatic lefty on lefty with Coke to face one batter.

I guess i will be getting a credit back on my credit card for my useless world series tickets.

As a Rangers backer tonight, I was happy that he didn't pinch run for him. But like yourself, I thought he blew the opportunity right there. Sure, Cruz has a great arm, but if there is a much faster runner, Cruz may rush the throw, it goes offline & the Tigers score.

Your offense hasnt shown up all playoffs and cabrera runs like he's carrying a piano. Worth is very fast I think he would have made it. When they are playing as bad as they are you have to take your shot when it comes and that was it. If its before the 8th no way take cabrera out but only needing 3 more outs you have to have that run. Pinch run worth then Kelly could have played first in the 9th

I suppose you can make the case for pinch running but if Young hits into a DP you lose Cabera's bat.

The bigger WTF was walking Beltre in the 11th. I still don't understand that. Beltre is clearly hurting and is he really better then Napoli? I didn't understand the move at all...but I liked it since I had the Rangers

Leyland sticks to his guns but no way do you take out Cabrera in that situation in my opinion. He's your best player and you have to assume the game might go xtra innings (which it did)

If you want to question him, in my opinion, question him why he is so stubborn when it comes to pitching Verlander in game 4, so he would be able to pitch in a possible game 7.

Nolan Ryan has been good for Texas. They'll probably get to the pennant again. JMO.

i guess other side you have to ask why texas manager walked cabrera with noone on base. then base hit got cabrera to 3rd..he got lucky cabrera was a slow runner and cruz had a rocket of an arm..

this was the most questionable call of the game and washington should be thanking his lucky stars that cruz gunned cabrera out cause he would be getting all the flack instead of leyland

under no circumstance in the world would i intentionally put the winning run on base, i dont care if ted williams is up with pittviper on deck.

It wouldnt have gone extra innings if he had pinch run though. I can understand if your team has been hitting during the playoffs to leave Cabrera in and play for the tie. Young had been hitting long fly balls all night. Even his 2 k's he just missed a homerun on one and had a long fly foul on the other. With a run that close and the consistent non hitting by tigers you have to play for the win in that situation. Plus they were walking cabrera anyways with an open base so his bat is pretty much gone anyways.

Some players you never take out. The best hitter in the AL in one of them.

Interesting stat in the Tigers/Rangers series

Tiger batters walked 22 times in first 5 games. ZERO scored!
