Taking the Braves as a favorite at Home on this Friday night.

Here's why... Zambrano's numbers suck Wrigley wind (Keith - that was for you) against the Braves. In past results, they are batting, overall, .312 in 141 ABs, along with 6 Hrs and 25 RBIs. Roughly, that's about 4 games worth of ABs pitched, so he is giving up a little over 6 runs a game. Only 32 Ks in the 141 ABs, so he's is only striking out 1 out of every 5 batters against the Braves. Big hitters have great numbers against him: Bourn .320 BA, 8 for 25 with .452 OBP and 6 BB. Gonzalez .316 BA, 6 for 19. Jones .280 7 for 25, .419 OBP with 4 BB. McCann .642 BA, 9 for 14. Heyward only seen him once and homered. Jones and McCann have also taken him deep. Ross deep twice in 12 ABs. Braves should be able to put up some runs tonight - Enough said right...WRONG....

The Cubs do not have much experience against Minor. Seven Cubs batters have seen him at 3 ABs a piece. He pitched one game against them last year in August and gave up 3 runs in 6 innings. Thats quality, not quantity! In 21 ABs in that game, Minor struck out 12 batters and held them to a .286 BA with only 1 BB. Cubs should have problems tonight as (a) they haven't seen enough of Minor to have a good feel for him and (b) past experience with these same Cubs hitters shows Minor did and can do well against them. It just Makes Sense!!!

I'll take the better team, as a favorite, with the pitching advantage in our favor guys, and I'll wish you luck in whatever you decide to do.
