watched this happen every spring when he was with the Sox. guy is one of the best RH hitters of all time, but dumb as a box of rocks.

nothing that comes out of his mouth, his actions.....surprise me anymore

Manny Ramirez update, Tuesday edition: I'll play into my 40s, retire to Japan

PHOENIX – Manny Ramirez lives his life in relentless pursuit of having fun.

A day after telling reporters he won't be a Dodger next season and even hinting at retirement, then watching them scramble to get the news out, Ramirez was back at it Tuesday.

Now he envisions playing well into his 40s.

"After I practiced yesterday, now I feel like I can play for five more years,'' Ramirez, who turns 38 on May 30, said with a big smile in the Dodgers clubhouse. "Three more years here and two in Japan.''

He said it first in Spanish then in English, for the benefit of all media members within earshot.

Ramirez proceeded to extol the virtues of an energy drink inside a bottle featuring a suggestively attired woman on the label, saying it has increased his sexual prowess.

Then he asked: "If I'm married and I have 10 women on the side, I'm a sex-aholic? But what if I'm single and I have 10 girlfriends? And what about those Arab princes that have six or seven women?''

Told he can't help but entertain people, Manny said, "What would life be if you don't have fun?''
