Mets v Diamondbacks & Rockies v Cardinals - betting info

New York Mets v Arizona Diamondbacks

Chris Capuano has the pitching assignment for New York. This southpaw has a record of 9-10 and an ERA of 4.51. Capuano is a decent strikeout pitcher but appears to have lost his way in the past few weeks. He gave up four earned runs in nine hits in six innings against the San Diego Padres on Tuesday.
The Diamondbacks start Jason Marquis who has a record of 8-6 and an ERA of 4.48. This veteran was traded to Arizona from the Washington Nationals last month just before the trade deadline.

But things have not worked out well for Marquis and his new team. He has been smashed all over the park in his first two starts. Marquis has given up 15 runs in eight innings which is worrying to say the least.
Arizona lead the NL West with a record of 65-53, holding a slender one game advantage over second placed San Francisco.

I think the safest option in this game is to back the over total runs market at around 1.9. The Mets have the second best batting average in road games in the NL at .269 and have scored 287 runs. This is a decent record for a team with little hope of making the post-season.
