Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

hendry deserves to go home too. another terrible signing. imagine an outfield of $40 million dollars, where no one wants any of the three guys? thats less than the entire marlins payroll. did hendry ever actually see fukodome play or swing the bat??? if so, then his judgement of talent is worse than i thought, and that was low to begin with. i bet he never saw the guy swing the bat and relied on his scouts, the same guys that hevent been able to bring any talent out of the minor leagues. clean house new owner ricketts. please. let lou go, hendry go, all the scouts and coaches and start over from top down. if we have to eat some contracts, then lets get it over with and start with some team players that really want to win first. i still have the faith, just not in hendry.

Plenty of takers for Fukedome, plenty. Cubs were only one of many teams seeking his wares, w sox (Offered MORE) and Pads were also. Nothing wrong with the "signing of Soriano either.

The problem was the length of the contract with Soriano, and his perception of Bradley. He also may have let an opportunity to get out of year 3 with Bradley escape him , as there was a clause in the contract stating under a certain situation, (DL last 15 games of this year) the 3rd year could be voided and saved the Cubs possibly $11,000,000

Hendry in recent years has not done the job, but lets not forget his trade for Aram for Bobby Hill, or his trade for Lee for Heep Chop Soy, or FA signings of Lilly, DeRosa and last season Edmunds. W/O those 5, Cubs are not division leaders last two seasons.

Some of his moves obviously included the advice of Lou..i.e. moving Wuertz, Blanco and Eyre off the team, which brought on the likes of Heilman and Roberts, two unexcusable signings.

Those from within are numerous, Marmol, Z, Marshall, Guzman, Soto, Theriot, and Wells. I think if you searched other teams rosters, this would be about the same number for most.

Now, I am not totally supporting Hendry, but he has done some very good things for the Cubs, but I don't think the Ricketts family will clean house in year one. They will bring on a real baseball man, not someone who was rewarded by the Tribune Company for nice work in the white tower, who couldn't spell baseball. After one year, then the changes will be made.

chi bob, i read the papers here in chicago also, and the problem with that bradley out clause is that he had to be unable to play at the beginning of next year also. that isnt going to happen, so we are going to be paying for him even if he doesnt play here. aws far as fukodome goes, i dont care if there were 30 teams looking at him, we signed him and have to pay the price. he spins like a top and i dont care if his season ending numbers are decent or not, he should never, ever bat against a lefty if there is anything on the line at that time. his hits are never clutch, and he has no power. not a good thing for a national league right fielder. the point is, that he hasnt helped here at all, and hendry is responsible for him. and the minor leagues??? are ya kdding me? you can think of 7 players brought up through our minor league system in all the time that hendry has been in charge? that is pathetic...he spent more money than ever and has to take the blame, just as he took the credit when he made the playoffs. instead of tinkering with a good team that led the league in wins last year, he gets rid of key players and gets the wrong players to replace them. aaron heilman? aaron miles? then they bring jake fox up to majors, when they needed a hitter desperately, and they have no place to play him. last year, when lee got hurt, they had not 1 decent first baseman in all the minors that could play til lee came back, but no. this year, it was ramirez. when he got hurt, there again was no one ready to play there. all hendry's making, top to bottom. get rid of this guy. he has reached the level of his incompetance.

Don't stop with Hendry. For the health of baseball in Chicago bid farewell to Piniella...Williams...and idiot Ozzie. Clean sweep is what the city needs.

Ozzie will stay

Question is, will Williams get the credit he deserves for cutting the deal for Rivers
