Minnesota makes their first of many moves
Actually, anything is an upgrade over the production they have been getting at 2B, but sad to think this will probably be their "big" move
ARLINGTON, TEXAS - With their second basemen ranked last in the majors in batting average (.190), on-base percentage (.270) and slugging percentage (.242), the Twins took a chance this weekend on unclaimed free agent Mark Grudzielanek, a .290 career hitter who won the AL Gold Glove at second base in 2006. After agreeing to a minor league deal, Grudzielanek, 39, will report Wednesday to the Twins' headquarters in Fort Myers, Fla., and likely head to Class AA New Britain a week later.
