Minnesota signs Jim Thome

No one has killed the Twins over the years more than him

Probably doesn't have alot left in the tank, but still think it's a nice signing for the Twins

Thome a good dude, maybe can somehow comeback and play Favre role for Twins. Doubtful, but you never know with his patient approach at plate and some good sticks hitting ahead of him in lineup.

I still wanted thome with the sox! He is gonna hit 25 hr and 70-80 rbis! but he cant catch up with a very good fastball. I hear you guys have a short porch now in right he will come up with some big hits! Lets see what Kotsay and Andruw Jones do in the dh role!

he could come back to haunt the whitesox a few times

all weekend long in the papers was how Guillen didnt want Thome back but GM Williams did. Guillen at least called him and talked with him like a man saying he could not give him at bats every day but rather give AB's to Jones, Kotsay, and Visquel

All the magic from Favre is what caused this, guaranteed. But I imagine they'll have about the same success: win a division banner, won't sniff the Series. Which is too bad, because when playoff time rolls around, the Twins are usually the team I'm cheering for.

I wanna see Morneau & Mauer get rings.

Good ridence he sucks in the clutch and can't play the field in interleague play. . Anruw Jones will put up better numbers and can still play any position in the outfield..

lmao. you obviously don't follow the twins offseason signings. All they do is look for bargains like these. Favre had zero to do with this. Gardenhire has always liked Thome.

On a side note ESPN reporting Liriano throwing well in Dominican winter league. If he is on Twins should have very solid starting 5.
