MLB Betting: All or nothing for the Padres
Jeff Grant previews the first game of a critical series between NL West rivals, as the desperate San Diego Padres take on the division-leading San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park.
At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: San Diego (2.48, +148), San Francisco (1.65, -154) and the Total Runs is Under 6.5 Runs (2, Even) and Over 6.5 Runs (1.83, -120). San Diego is in a bad spot heading into this weekend's three-game series with the Giants, as the team is needing a sweep to force a one-game playoff. "We've got to find a way to be very good for three days," first baseman Adrian Gonzalez stated. "That's all it takes." He suffered through a terrible homestand, going 2-for-24, as he's been dealing with a right shoulder injury since June that has altered his swing. The Padres hold a 10-5 season series advantage over the Giants, including a 5-1 mark at AT&T Park. The club has 88 wins and hopes to become the fourth Padres team to win 90 or more games, joining the 1984, 1996 and 1998 squads. San Diego is 36-34 against division opponents this season and the total runs is 30-38 Over/Under in those contests. Continued: All or nothing for the Padres : Baseball : Betfair.net |
