The D-backs have agreed to terms with outfielder Jarrod Dyson on a two-year, $7.5 million deal, sources told MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi on Monday.

Per the source, Dyson's deal includes performance bonuses each year: $50,000 at 100 and 125 games played; and $50,000 each at 350, 400 and 450 plate appearances.

The club has not confirmed the signing, but Dyson reportedly has already completed his physical.

Dyson, 33, spent the 2017 season with the Mariners, batting .251/.324/.350 with five homers, 30 RBIs and 28 stolen bases in 111 games. Dyson spent the first seven years of his career with the Royals before being dealt to the Mariners in January 2017.

News of the Dyson signing came soon after Arizona reportedly lost out on free-agent slugger J.D. Martinez, who is said to have a five-year, $110 million deal with the Red Sox, per Morosi.

Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that Tim Lincecum will sign with the Rangers.

The contract is presumably pending a physical exam.

Could be used out of the bullpen this time around, potentially as the Rangers' closer.

Spring training is in full swing and opening day is about 4 weeks away. How are some of these guys not signed yet? Jake Arrieta, Lance Lynn and Alex Cobb, first baseman Lucas Duda, third baseman Mike Moustakas and outfielders Jon Jay and Carlos Gonzalez.

It is truly amazing when you look at the numbers that guys like Arrieta and Moustakas have put up.

Is someone going to sign them? I wish Boston would offer a couple of those guys a low ball offer.

Mike Moustakas has agreed to a one-year deal with a mutual second-year option with the Kansas City Royals. The deal, which was first reported by Yahoo Sports' Jeff Passan, guarantees him $6.5 million and can max out at $22.7 million.

Arrieta gets $75 million over 3 years

Phillies spent $145 million on Arrieta (75M) and Carlos Santana (70) and in excess of 30 million on bullpen to suddenly make them a very competitive team

Neil Walker is on the verge of returning to New York. The veteran second baseman is closing in on a one-year contract with the Yankees, according to multiple reports. The team has not commented about the agreement, which is pending a physical.

The 32-year-old Walker, who had been working out at the free-agent camp in Bradenton, Fla., is entering his 10th Major League season. His signing could signal the Yanks' intent to have touted prospects Miguel Andujar and Gleyber Torres begin the year in the Minor Leagues.

Walker's contract is believed to be worth about $5 million, according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman, which would keep the Yankees comfortably below their envisioned $197 million payroll threshold. Walker earned $17.2 million last year after accepting a qualifying offer from the Mets.

SARASOTA, Fla. -- The Orioles' spring search for pitching took another big turn on Tuesday night, as the club has reached a four-year agreement with the best remaining free-agent arm, starter Alex Cobb, according to MLB Network insider Jon Heyman.

The club has not confirmed the agreement, but multiple sources told MLB.com that Baltimore is the likely destination for the right-hander, with the two sides deep in negotiations.

While it's believed that both three- and four-year deals have been discussed, the O's have been reluctant to hand out contracts longer than three years to free-agent starters since Ubaldo Jimenez's four-year pact.

MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal originally reported three years and $50 million on Twitter, but in a follow-up Tweet wrote that another source told him that figure was not accurate, and that the deal would be less than that. Heyman's subsequent tweet put the value of the deal at close to $60 million.

Alex Cobb contract pays him $14 million a year for the first three seasons and $15 million in 2021.

He also will have a minimum of $20 million deferred without interest and $25.25 million deferred if he pitches fewer than 130 innings in 2020.
