MLB Plays

Washington at Baltimore

I'm loving this play! Orioles at home have won 86% of their games (22) by more than 1 run. The Nationals who have lost 25 road games have lost 80% of those game by more than 1 run! We are playing the run line here!

Martis will start for the Nats and he has struggled on the road with a 6.53ERA compared to his 4.29 at home. He faced the Orioles already this year going 6IP giving up 5ER on 7H and 2BB's. That game was in Washington and now he faces the Orioles who are hot .347avg Last 5 vs. RHP 7.71R/9 on the road where he will have to make the adjustments to get the batters out. This is something he has yet to prove he can do. He's faced the Phillies 3 times this year and got worse in each start! Look for Martis to really struggle here big time! He won't get much help from a bullpen that has a 9.98ERA in their last 5 games either!

Guthrie will start for the Orioles and he just pitches well at home 3.98ERA this year and he will be taking on a National lineup that he has clearly dominated in 4 career starts he has pitched 7 innings and given up 1ER in each start. They have a batting average of .154 (8-52) vs. Guthrie when you take Dimitri Young out of the picture (4-9). Guthrie has been pitching well too with a 0.98WHIP and a 3.26ERA in his last three starts. He'll face a National lineup that can hit, but I feel they won't have nearly enough on the board at the end of the day to compensate for Martis.

The Nats are 12-43 in their last 55 games as a road underdog . The Nats are 1-6 in their last seven interleague games vs. a team with a losing record and are 0-5 in Martis' last five starts. The O's are are 8-2 in their last 10 interleague home games vs. a right-handed starter.

Worth Noting: Orioles 8-2 Last 10 inter league games vs. RHP, Nats 9-45 in their last 54 vs. RHP!

Baltimore-1.5 RUN LINE

Seattle at LA Dodgers

I had to do a double take when I looked at the odds and saw that the Dodgers were a home underdog, they have the best record in baseball (48-26) along with the best home record (26-10) and they're a dog to a team that's just 1 game over .500 and are 5 games under on the road that just don't seem right to me. I guess the main reason for the odds is the pitching matchup which isn't even really a big mismatch. Starting for the Mariners is Felix Hernandez who is 7-3 with a 2.74 era and starting for the Dodgers is Eric Milton who is 2-0 with a 2.89 era.

LA Dodgers (underdog delight)

added play: Milwaukee Brew Crew (like this play also)

these plays look sweet also but my local is too much of a wussy not to take prop plays. If so this is what i would of taken:

Pittsburgh over 4.5 team total runs
LA Dodgers over 3.5 team total runs
