Talking Mlb Tgirf

Detroit at Minnesota

The Twins send Kevin Slowey to the mound who is 8-0 at home this year with a sub par 4.07ERA. I think that tells you just how well the Twins have hit here at home and I expect nothing different form them here tonight. Slowey who has not pitched that well of late still should be in position against the Tigers who have a .194 average scoring 2.42 runs per 9 in their last 5 games. The reason I like Slowey so much in the situation is that he is on 5 days rest and the TWins are 12-1 in his last 13 starts on 5 days rest.

The Tigers send Luke French to the mound the rookie LHP will make his mlb debut in a tough spot here visiting the Twins. French has pitched in relief, but has never made a start. He is 4-4 with a 2.98ERA and a 1.11WHIP in AAA this year, but this is not AAA and he will face a very hot Twins lineup. The Twins vs. LHP last 5 .333average scoring 7.71 runs per 9 in their last 5 games. The Tigers are also 2-9 in their last 11 on turf.

(Baseball Trend ) The Minnesota Twins are 10-1 in home games after six or more consecutive road games since last season.

Seattle at Boston

I see that the Boston/Seattle is a tricky game since both send their aces to the rubber, but since the Red Sox are at home & have the better offense i will take Boston-1.5 since i see good value at +170,gl to me.

The big story here is the return of Manny Ramirez and Chad Gaudin can't be too excited about that. Dodgers are already hitting .333 off Gaudin with Manyy 5-11 vs. him. Gaudin faced the Dodgers going 5.2 innings giving up 8 hits and 6 earned runs in his second start. He has been pitching well, but I expect the Dodgers to take advantage of Manny back in the line up.

Dodgers send Japanise RHP Kuroda to the mound and he hasn't given up a BB in his last four starts. He has a 3.20ERA on the road this year and his nemesis Giles 5-15 w/2HR off him is not in the lineup tonight. Padres are hitting .192 against RHP in their last 5 scoring just 2.15R/9. Expect Kuroda to control the strike zone as the padres are 9-25 in their last 34 games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15.

Dodgers also are 36-16 in their last 52 games as -110-150 favorets while the Padres are 9-17 and 1-9 in their last 10 game 1 series this year!

LA Dodgers

not playing the Boston-1.5,good value but Hernandez is too good.

Also want to see the Dodgers get the "W". In the process I would not mind the surviving bees paying Manny a visit.
