Need Ideas with my research

Hello to all the experts. I went back and looked at all of the totals from 2003 through 2009 and I found out some interesting things. The problem I have is I need to figure out a system of wagering based on these numbers that I found. I will share these numbers with everyone (put in over 50 hours to get these) hoping that we can all profit from these. Here is what I found

There were 926 times over that 6 year period that teams had either an over or an under run of at least 5 straight games. Here is how the break down went for all major league teams during the six years

442 times the streak ended at 5 games
258 times the steak ended at 6 games
111 times the streak ended at 7 games
59 times the streak ended at 8 games
21 times the streak ended at 9 games
21 times the streak ended at 10 games
7 times the streak ended at 11 games
2 times the streak ended at 12 games
3 times the streak ended at 13 games
1 time the streak ended at 14 games
1 time the streak ended at 15 games

I did figure out a system that would have returned $8,800 per year off of these numbers based on winning $50 to $100 per game but you would have to have a bank roll of around 100k to sustain the long streaks when they happen. I am hoping that someone can come up with something more profitable. Thank you. Niner

You might as well just invest your 100k in a stock or bond or gold and just wait for it give you an 8-9% return with those numbers. Why bother with giving yourself gray hairs.

Hey Badger

If you saw my head you would conclude that it is too late. Where did you say that I can get 9%?

how do you assume this data might help you?

do you think youd only begin investing after a 5 game streak?

or whats your idea? from 5 to 6 happens roughly 3/5, then what?

sorry but ore important to this data is the exact totals offered, not simply if it went over or under bu the exact totals

this data is not empirical

Thank you Romanowski for keeping this alive. I would actually start playing after game four and start with game five. It has been very consistent that over the last 6 years a streak will end after game 6 73% of the time. If you go to game 7 then the streak ends 87% of the time. The problem that I am having is how to best handel the remaining 13%. That is the killer. Would you play a progressive amount through game 7 (say game 5 to win $50, Game 6 to win $60, game 7 to win $70) and then revert back to a decreasing amount to win ( game 8 to win $60, Game 9 to win $50 ect.) Just looking for ideas from people who know more than I do. Thanks Roman.
