Just so my vote is not mistaken. I picked the San Francisco Giants. Not the San Diega Padres. Thank you for your time and concern.

I will lean to the Rockies, if they get any kind of pitching I like their team. They go as Tulowitzki goes as well.

betting on padres is a waste of money. they will be last and may even be the worst team in the NL

starting pitching is mediocre at best. our "ace" young can't stay healthy and is inconsistent.

our best hitter gonzo will probably get traded.

This team is a few years away from being competitive again

torreabla is the only offensive starter different than last year. the team was dead last in BA last year and i dont see that changing this year. they have no one capable of hitting .300

blanks and headley should improve a little. but if gonzo is traded it's over. the only threat in the whole lineup.

correia was decent after the break last year. latos picked it up towards the end of the year as well. but even if they can improve from last year this pitching staff is still pretty weak. they had a team ERA of 4.37 in the #1 pitchers park.

i dunno maybe i'm a bitter fan because they never spend money to get/keep good players. but i will say this...there's no way they win the division. .500+ record would be a huge feat.

they are adding hairston back for a whole year, gwynn for a whole year, blanks for a whole year, headley back to his normal spot, everth cabrera hopefully healthy for whole season...lot of kids with some seasoning now in the big leagues

if they stay healthy they will have a legit starting rotation. correia had like a 3 era and over 200 innings, young back from shoulder surgery, garland good veteran, latos can throw and then richard for a whole season. not to mention improvement in the bullpen and the leading closer in the NL from a year ago

they have new ownership and the payroll is low until the transition is complete. but this owner spent money on the draft and won in az so i expect the same here...i really like this team and how young it is but they will be very competitive
