his beef was that it should have been called a strike and he thought the ump was distracted... Ball was across the plate and the ump froze

If the Phillies lose today their chances of closing it out in Philly get slimmer. Batters are hot and cold.

Im on the Phillies to win this series and the NL and their offense is so frustrating to watch at times. Like you said they just go ice cold at the worst times.

I had them large to win the NL last year and that NLCS against the Giants watching them squander opportunity after opportunity was just a maddening experience. I ended up giving a lot of credit to SF's staff but this series theyre kinda starting to do the same stuff. I mean I know theyve won 2 games but still they only scored 1 run in eight innings after a first inning today that coulda led to more. Yesterday they pretty much did nothing except for Francisco's big HR and Game 2 the bats went silent again after a huge 1st inning.

You look at their lineup and it looks powerful but I dont know, some balls (like Rollins last AB) were hit right at guys but Im a little worried. If Doc wasnt pitching with Lee waiting behind him Id be terrified but Im still a little worried the offense might not show up. If the Cards score 3 runs friday they'll win, but can they score three runs?

Like the under huge

Their run production this year has been down. When you look at the numbers they win on pitching not by throwing up 8 runs every night.

Just hope Roy can get thru the first unscathed. If he does that I like my chances Friday night. If the Phillies have to come from behind I dont
