they are just putting the asking price way high and then would come down. AG is a gold glover too so his value is pretty crazy, but sales are already way down from last year so I doubt they just torch all fan support and trade their best player

Not disagreeing about AG, great glove, in his prime etc etc. BUt SD gets no interest at games anyway, Im not sure what trading him would affect. Im just not sure PAdre fans go to the game to solely see him, at least not any significant amount. NOw if they got that package they have a handful of good to possibly very good young players. 2 guys who could go right into their rotation, one with great stuff and 24. Masterson 21 and has already proved he can do it when it counts as well as starting and relieving. Im not big on Lowrie personally and Lars is highly thought of but hasnt shown it. BUt supposedly Westmoreland could be a stud, he's what every team wants in a deal.

I guess we'll see

well attendance is down 20% from last year...and that was with a 100 loss team a year ago. things can always get worse and he is the only marketable name besides peavy and he's very cheap for his production. i think next year he gets dealt or in the offseason, heath bell is the one i think goes today...i wouldnt mind trading both and getting good prospects
