Before the season, I got the Reds: to win the Central +750, NL +2200, and the WS +4500

Phillies pitching staff most frustrating in the world to bet on/against. Team is built for post season, but couldn't back them to win the NL with Lidge as the closer. I don't see any team in the NL worthy of being in the World Series. By default, I'd have to go with San Fran (if they get to the post season)........

Maybe you haven't noticed Lidge's greatness lately? Because my fantasy team has.

Has been better last 2 weeks - but my butt's still raw from the 9 times I've lost this year on his blown saves. I like Contreras better in the closer's role for them, to be honest.

And the bats - offense is beyond anemic most nights - couple that with Lidge trying to close 3-2 games and it's a recipe for disaster, IMO.

All that said, they might still be best team in NL. I like Atlanta and San Fran's pitching better, but Philly does win in the post season. If they still had Cliffy, it'd be a no brainer. But beyond Halladay and Hamels, there's not much there........

Mine or Leafs? Stop being a homer and be objective, you're too smart not to see there's issues there, big enough ones that will certainly keep them from winning the series and may keep them from getting there.........

Well come on no one ever takes Leaf seriously. Pitching staff is so strong IMO, easily the backbone of the team. They just got Utley back from an extended DL stint, and Howard has always been streaky, he's just guessing wrong more than usual. I think they are clearly the best team in the NL. You could say they have underachieved and are still 20 games over .500.

Postseason should be even better when we never have to use Kenrick and Blanton.
